Welcome to Field Day! We’re excited for your Team to get started. Here, you’ll find sample messaging to help introduce Field Day across several communication channels.
Feel free to pull from the copy below, or visit our resource library for more tips, tools, and employee volunteering information.
Instead of adding people to your Team via email right when you create it, you can generate an invite link to send to anyone at your company to invite them to join your Team and register for your first Field Trip. Learn more about Team invites →
Introduce Field Day to your Team
Some exciting news: we’re using the Field Day community engagement platform for our employee volunteer programming.
With Field Day, we can discover volunteer activities for teams, connect directly with local nonprofits, easily coordinate events, and show the social impact we make together – all on a single platform.
How it works
When you join our Team on Field Day, you can see and register for our Field Trips – volunteer events for our Team (plus guests). As you attend Field Trips, you’ll see your own volunteer stats and history on your homepage. Watch your impact grow over time!
You’re welcome to browse the volunteer activities available for us to get involved in with the 70+ local Portland nonprofits on Field Day – let us know what you’d be interested in doing! There are also some virtual opportunities for folks outside of Portland to take part in.
How to join our Team on Field Day:
- Via email invitation: Look out for an email from Field Day inviting you to join our Team. If you don’t receive it, you can create an account using your work email at app.fieldday.com and let [program owners] know to add you.
- Via event page links from Team admins: When a Field Trip is scheduled, Team admins will share a special link that lets you join the Team and register for the upcoming event. We’ll share these on [appropriate Slack/other channels].
Questions or feedback
If you have questions about volunteering with [company name], please post in [appropriate Slack/other channels] or reach out to [program owners]. If you have questions about using Field Day, their Support Center is a great resource.
